I had an assignment in one of my photography classes to do something experimental directly in my camera, without the use of photoshop. This is one of the photos I took.

I gently put some water on my lens, and kind of shaped it as a circle and left a spot water-free in the middle. Then, as I took the picture, I used my breathe to create a gentle fog just in front of the lens (it was really cold out). I also used the wrong white balance to capture the cold feeling that I wanted this shot to have. That's how I took this one.

I'm guilty of levels-adjustments though.

I think you did a really good job on this. particularly with the clarity of the one bit of branch.
